Hampstead Bypass NOT a Funding Priority

May 4th, 2016

Land owners in Pender County who are in the path of the Transportation Corridor Official Map (the North Carolina Map Act) remain in limbo, per NC DOT and local Pender County elected officials under the recently updated State Transportation Improvement Plan.

According to an article on WECT:

Neither one of the segments for the Hampstead Bypass was identified as a statewide significant project to receive funding through the State Transportation Improvement Program, the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s 10-year plan.

Not on the ten-year plan! If you are a land owner stuck in this quagmire, give us a call to learn more about why filing suit against the DOT may be your best course of action.
