NCDOT is currently preparing ROW plans for this project. It proposes widening and improvements to NC 73 from Beatties Ford Rd to West Catawba Ave in Huntersville and Cornelius. Right-of-Way Acquisition should begin this year (2022) and construction should begin in 2026. There are 96 parcels that will be impacted by this project and the budget is $45,000,000.00.
