Pender County Commissioners Hire Lobbyist

More Hampstead Bypass updates in the news:  Pender County Commissioners have now hired a lobbyist to push for the bypass with state lawmakers in an attempt to get the stalled project moving forward.  This will not come soon enough for landowners who are affected by the proposed bypass under the North Carolina Map Act (Transportation Corridor Official Map, Project R-3300), and who remain in limbo due to the current State Transportation Improvement Plan rankings.

Henson Fuerst Attorneys continues to receive calls from concerned landowners who have questions about joining the more than two dozen land owners who have already filed suit against the state with legal challenges to the Map Act.  Under those legal challenges, property owners are filing inverse condemnation actions and seeking payment for the land that was effectively taken from them since November 2011.
