The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) proposed an intersection improvement from Lynn Road in Durham to west of Alexander Drive in Raleigh. There will be an upgrade to a controlled-access facility and convert at-grade intersection with SR 1811/ SR 1959 to interchange. Break A of this project is US 70 (Miami Blvd) from Lynn Road to SR 1959 (S Miami Blvd) / SR 1811 (Sherron Rd). Right of way acquisition is expected to begin in 2022 and the total project cost is $136,124,000.
