Right of way acquisition for U-4906 began in August 2017 and construction is said to begin in 2018. This project will cost $10.6 million for property acquisition and construction, and is affecting more than 50 land owners.
This 6.4 roadway widening project affects Gum Branch Road from Mills Fields Road just east of Richlands to Batting Cage Trail in Jacksonville. The project includes improvements to the intersections of Gum Branch Road with Ramsey Road, Mendover Drive, Rhodestown Road, NW Bridge Road, Quaker Bridge Road, and Cow Horn Road.
